CAREER AS A FUNERAL DIRECTOR

Funeral Director Duties Include:

• First call – remove deceased from residence or institution

• Disinfection & embalming of body

• Initial contact with family

• Arranging for funeral services

• Preparation of body

• Visitation

• Funeral service – transportation, processional

• Committal service

• Post funeral activities

• Additional services to families – death certificate, insurance claims, follow up
